Healthy Water

what are you drinking?purifying water

I found a great website called Natural Society. I was pleased to find a site that is caught up in sharing news that is based on real time happenings in our world.

About Natural Society: “It is impossible to keep up with all of the latest health news that actually matters. That’s why we created Natural Society, your source for useful organic living tips, news, and life hacks that can take your health to the next level.”

Natural Society has lots to say about healthy water and asks if you know what are you drinking on several levels. It is my belief that anything I read anywhere today, that it should be taken with a grain of salt. I pick and choose what I think is reality, and it is usually based upon the sources.

I choose not to believe everything that I read but if I like what I’m reading, I take the best of it and try to apply it to the lifestyle that I am working to build for myself. And this is why I will take the tips of the best and share those with you in my website

Natural Society, PO Box 516, Wallingford, PA 19086. If you would care to reach these people, they have made themselves very transparent! Here is their address and they do write back.

Here is the article that caught my attention. Obama Increases Allowable Levels Of Radiation In Drinking Water ‘Dramatically’ and I have copy and pasted most of the article below for you to read. Of course the first thing that came to my mind was the Fukushima disaster. Fukushima disaster

(**)”A government official from Japan stated “I was overwhelmed by the amount of contaminated water coming from the reactors, we must dump it in the ocean.” This isn’t such great news for the US since President Obama and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently gave their approval for “dramatically raising permissible radioactive levels in drinking water and soil following “radiological incidents,” such as nuclear power-plant accidents and dirty bombs.”   (**)(Shunichi Tanaka, is the chairman of the Nuclear Regulation Authority, who made this comment Dec. 12 about dumping radioactive waste into the ocean.) Fukushia after the fire

The EPA issued radiation guides called “Protective Action Guides” or “PAGs”. It has been said that these “PAGs” might have already been in the making for over the past two years, and just recently released for us, the American people, to view.

These “PAGs” are some of the work of an administrative assistant, by the name of Gina McCarthy. Obviously, working on a career also, she was nominated and approved and now serves as our new EPA Administrator. She was approved by the Senate a few months ago; nice coincidence?

Here is the scary part! These PAGs will now allow more radiation than any of us Americans have ever been exposed to, to be leaked into our universal systems. Within those PAGs lies a wide range of instruction for handling radiation emergencies. Evacuations, shelter-in-place orders, food restrictions, and other such actions that would happen following such “radiological emergencies”.

One would have to question if the disaster at Fukushima wasn’t such an “emergency” that should have fallen under the new group of PAGs that McCarthy worked on? Or maybe it did and we just don’t know anything about it yet?  Gina McCarthy

These new PAGs allow for long-term exposure to radiation at 2,000 millirems, which is gigantic in proportion to the old number of millirems allowed.

The cancer rate expected with the old millirem allowance was expected at 1 in 10,000 persons. With the new allowance, the cancer rate is now expected to be 1 in 23 persons in a 30 year period. WOW; does McCarthy really even know what she is doing? This is exhausting to think about.

And of course, experts are calling for the expectation of a much higher level of cancer rates due to the new “allowable” levels of radiation exposure. 1 in 23 instead of 1 in 10,000? You do the math. The strange thing about this statement is that after reading it, I hear comments from people that don’t even act as though they believe this is “truth”. Instead, I’m hearing “well can we sue the government”? By the time anyone gets around to suing, or establishing that the government has really bad planning skills, at least 100 out of 2300 people will be dead from radiation caused cancer.

Here is the comment that PEER Executive Director, Jeff Ruch had to add and according to the story I read, he appeared to be fairly upset when he said it too:

“This is a public health policy only Dr. Strangelove could embrace. If this typifies the environmental leadership we can expect from Ms. McCarthy, then [the] EPA is in for a long, dirty slog.” “No compelling justification is offered for increasing the cancer deaths of Americans innocently exposed to corporate miscalculations several hundred-fold.”

People of America! If you aren’t dead next year from being slaughtered by ISIS and other such terrorist groups, then you can count on being very sick, if not dead, from the rules of our government administration! How much longer are we going to tolerate this kind of reign?

I don’t know a whole lot about this subject. But I do know that it has me alarmed and worried for millions of people. And so I am just passing along information that I have found out here in magazines that I read, and on the internet; especially about our water and food. The soda industry doesn’t just include Coke either. There are hundreds, if not thousands of them. Quit drinking aspartame period!

I want to pass it on in hopes that I might be able to help anyone and everyone that reads what I write today. I care about people and I am scared for the many children at home drinking tap water that has already been exposed to radiation and the soft drinks that have permeated our homes.  This is for anyone who cares to listen and to protect themselves and their families as much as, and wherever they can!

This page will be continuing due to the very importance of the topic. Water is the something that we cannot do without for very long. Humans have been known to go without food for periods of time but you cannot take their water away, they will perish. Feed them poisoned water and the poison will kill them. Maybe more slowly, or painfully, but in the end cancer is not something that I really want to die from. How about you?

And so I will come back to this topic here from time to time to update any new story as I might hear about it. I just want to thank you for stopping by to say hello and truly hope to hear from you in the comments section below.

drinking healthy water

Where does our drinking water come from? Do you really know anything about the water coming through your faucets at your home? It most likely comes through from a local  reservoir around your city or state? Or perhaps you have a well somewhere on your property that you were able to tap in to. Do you think it is safe to drink? Are you drinking healthy water? Or is your drinking water contaminated by Fukushima?clean glass of water

Maybe like so many other people, you are now purchasing bottled drinking water. How do you know if that is really okay to drink? Did you study where it comes from or where it is bottled? I know there is the one that they advertise which claims to be “untouched by human hands and bottled at the source”. I highly doubt it.

What about your drinking water? Is your H2o contaminated or clean? It is possible that you purchase this more expensive drinking water for the assurance that it is what they say it is? Have you read my post about the food pyramid and how it came to be?

I am so very concerned about every single one of us who is drinking water from the tap in our homes today. Unless of course, you are able to purify the water before you drink it. My mother had a machine that distilled her water and she ran about two gallons per day through it. But still, I don’t know if distilling water will remove radiation from it? According to what I have read, I don’t think that it does.cows and reactors

I read an article (below) that mentioned what Obama has done to raise the limit of allowable radiation in our drinking water in case of an emergency such as the one at Fukushima!

What the article really told me was that those people in power, such as our president, can make decisions without looking to the people for answers. What the article tells me, if it is correct, is that Obama just signed a warrant that reassures we will have many more cancer ridden neighbors, friends, and family members soon.

But after I read more, I became even more scared (that deep down feeling of terror you get when you are really alarmed) and then I became extremely angry and I am quite sure that most of you already know what anger is like. Although different for each one of us, in the end, it’s pretty much all the same outcome (unless you have anger issues, of course).

If we are to blame those in power, how do we do that? We put them in the positions they now hold because we believed that they would protect us. Every nation around the world has some involvement in this nuclear holocaust and that is what it is going to become. Aren’t you scared about what is happening to our planet?sick and dead water

I sure the heck am when I hear that Obama raised the limit on the amount of radiation allowed in our drinking water. Whether we have an emergency or not, radiation leaks down into the soil and ground water and aquifers. What is he thinking? That it won’t happen to him? The article is claiming that it will be as bad as 1 in 23 people who develop cancer. What? Is this acceptable to you?dead fish in water

According to the scientists and people that study these events, the Pacific Ocean is now a dead zone. Fish are already showing cancerous growths and we are still eating fish pulled from the Pacific. What do they look like before we see them in the grocery store?dead fish

Before  I get too far into describing what is going on in my head, let me share some of the things that I have been reading and there aren’t many ways to get around this drinking water problem. I won’t drink tap water anymore. I question all of the bottled water that I drink too. Boiling water? Yes, it can kill many bacteria but it doesn’t remove radiation.

Sorry, I hope that this hasn’t been too depressing for you. It has been for me. It’s not a nice thing to see all of the fish in a pond that have all died from radiation poisoning, let alone human beings.

Please come back tomorrow and see what we have to show you about how you can get clean drinking water, H2o without worry of radiation poisoning.

getting healthy water will soon be tricky!

Do you know how much radiation our bodies can take, can be exposed to before there is no turning back? I do not know; I haven’t studied this subject very much. Just knowing that my cat drinks from puddles outside, from the toilet if the lid is up, and even from his little water fountain makes me wonder when he will get cancer.chernobyl wasteland

My soul is full of trepidation when I think about how far we have gone with so many things that are dangerous  for this earth, and the things that we have allowed to get out of balance in our world.

Now, there is no turning back. All we can do is prepare for what will come in to our futures.

There are the few who keep yelling that we must stop killing the animals because they are going to be extinct if we don’t. The few that stand up and yell “stop” when they are building a new nuclear power plant. The few that dive down into the sea cutting open illegal tuna nets.

There are the few that stand up and yell when watching proud islanders who are waist deep in ocean water slaughtering pilot whales because it is just part of what they do every year. Those that cry and scream as bulls are stabbed, and slashed, as their tails are ripped from their bodies, all in the name tradition.

Don’t people get it? It doesn’t matter what we did last year or ten years ago. We cannot keep doing whatever it is because we are killing our planet. It doesn’t matter how many times you did it before. Things change and it’s time for everyone to take their turn and learn how to change.

There are thousands of things that we would stop or change if we could but fortunately, the world is a very diverse place and every civilization has its own way of doing things. I don’t think we want to start a big war over such things if people are unwilling to take part in saving our planet, do you?

Let me ask you this. What kind of fail safe do we have against the poisons reaching our part of the world from a melt down or failed reactor clear around the world? We already have Fukushima’s leakage in our water, everywhere in the U.S.

I would have to say that I don’t think that we have a choice of how much radiation leakage we get in an emergency or not. I don’t think the president has a choice in the matter either. Radiation will go where it goes and we don’t have a darn thing to say about it.

What happens is going to happen. The best that we can do now is to prepare for the worst and in this case, make sure that we can properly filter water that is coming in to our homes so that we don’t begin growing extra appendages, or that our male population suddenly starts giving birth.

I suppose that the president can call a disaster area or zone a disaster. He can put all kinds of restrictions into play. He can issue numbers to people for days when they can come and collect bottled water, emergency supplies at home, gasoline, etc. I’m quite sure that the EPA has a list a mile long of things that they can do to protect Americans from too much radiation. This all has a surreal feel to it.

And naturally, as with anything else, as demand rises for clean water, the price of water filtration systems will also increase. Then someone with big bucks will buy a store full of them, and charge five times the amount they normally go for. Or the government will take over distribution of the systems and there will be lines a mile long to get one.

That is how it is, this is how it always has been. Don’t you recall the lines to get your gasoline? The even or odd days when it was your turn to go and wait in line?

But realistically, that was then and this is now. Our world has a population that is stressing our limits to the brink of breaking. Disease such as diabetes has become epidemic. Our water is polluted all over the world; the Pacific Ocean is being called “dead”. We’re allowing Monsanto and Dow to manufacture chemicals that are being sprayed that are killing all of the honey bees, which have always been responsible for pollination and instead of pollination we are getting GMO seed to plant. And who knows what GMO food is going to do to humans ten years down the road.

In the mean time, we have a chance to help ourselves to get through this drinking water scare which will turn into a reality someday soon and install one of these water filtration systems in our homes. If you are not capable of installing one yourself as I am not, then coughing up the few extra dollars to have it installed professionally will be worth every penny for the 99% clean factor you get from it.

So, glad you stopped by to share. Let me know what you think and leave a comment or two; you thoughts are greatly appreciated.

filterING YOUR TAP WATER by reverse osmosis

I have done some reading about these water filtration systems that people are using now more than ever in their homes. It is good for us that some engineer developed such a thing so that we can have clean water in our homes until the water becomes so bad that we will have to find another way.

In fact, after reading these water scares, which have been happening all over the U.S., I will be paying my nephew to install a filtration system with reverse osmosis as soon as the unit I ordered arrives. And yes, I live in an apartment right now. but the system I ordered sits out on top of my cupboard. When I move, I can give or donate this smaller unit to someone who needs one and I will purchase a larger one for the home I move to.

Here is an article I found of just one mishap in regards to drinking water in Texas.
The State Concealed Dangerous Radiation In Drinking Water For Years

  • An investigation into Texas water quality found some areas had consistently elevated levels of radioactive particles
  • Residents were not warned of the radiation risks because officials from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) would subtract the margin of error from test results so that they would not violate federal limits for radiation in drinking water, even though tests performed by the agency showed the water exceeded the legal limit for alpha radiation
  • The under-reporting of radiation levels in Texas drinking water continued until an EPA audit in 2009
  • Filtering your water with a reverse osmosis filter can remove radioactive particles, while certain vitamins and other nutrients may help reduce the risk of radiation exposure”

And another quote from the EPA on radiation removal from tap water!

“The Environmental Protection Agency recommends reverse osmosis water treatment to remove radioactive isotopes that emit beta-particle radiation. But iodine-131, a beta emitter, is typically present in water as a dissolved gas, and reverse osmosis is known to be ineffective at capturing gases. Apr 7, 2011″ however while reverse osmosis probably does not catch iodine-131 adding a carbon filter to the unit will catch it.

**Removing all radioactive particles means removing everything, including iodine-131 which is emitted into the system as a gas and falls to the earth with rain, and gets into the water system in this manner. This is how radiation has gotten into the drinking water in Boise, Idaho and Richland, Washington.

This is why it is important to pick a water filtration system that handles all levels of poisons. The water filtration systems shown here contain a reverse osmosis filter and an ionizer and carbon filter.  These three filter systems should more than adequately insure that you will get nothing but plain water as it passes through them. The carbon filter was added to insure that iodine-131, and cesium-137, and any other radionuclides from drinking water.

I believe in clean drinking water and I believe that my body has been hit with enough radiation throughout my life time through forced radiation. Through x-rays for my teeth every year, broken bones, surgeries, and then even through the Chernobyl disaster. I lost my thyroid about twenty-five years ago and I attribute that to the radiation I was exposed to from Chernobyl. So I know what radiation does to us because I was very sick for a long time before they could even remove my thyroid.

These filtration systems are not complex, they are compact and come ready to install. Most can be installed right under the kitchen sink. Mine will be installed on top of my counter as I have limited room wherever I turn in this apartment. I have also seen a stand alone unit; one that looks like those water coolers in the doctor’s office. There are even applications for your ice makers that can be installed so your ice is clean and free from these poisons.  It’s amazing what they have done with the filtration units once they knew we were facing water contamination from radiation poisoning.

HEALTHY WATER — 15 Comments

  1. This is a very informative article, I had no idea that Obama increased allowable levels of radiation in the drinking water. That makes me angry, why would he do this? The statistics on the cancer rate expectancy is crazy. I’ve read a little about water filtration by reverse osmosis a long time ago. Will this process remove the naturally occurring minerals in the water?

    • I heard the angry part because that is exactly where it left me, deeply angry and hurt that our government would just go behind everyone and allow radiation in the water that we drink. But truth be told, with radiation, what are they going to do about it anyway? They have no control about how much radiation lands anywhere as far as I can tell. If the nuclear site blows or melts down, radiation is going to go wherever it goes and we cannot do anything about it.

Now if filtration removes minerals or not, I would just as soon be drinking water without minerals than drinking water with radiation in it. Since there is already radiation in almost everyone’s drinking water now, my goal is that people should be thinking about it sooner than later when there is a run on the filtration units and then you won’t be able to get them at all.

Thanks again for your comments; I love to be able to talk to people about this stuff.

  2. As far as I know bottle seems to be the best and he safest water to drink, many germs are carried about by water therefore we should make it our business that we drink bottle water at all times. Our bodies need water and we should drink as much as we can to make sure that our kidneys is function properly. I have been drinking bottle for years and to tell you the truth this is so great,so as you seek to make people aware with your post I hope they listen and learn.

    • Thanks for sharing that with us here Norman. Someday bottled water isn’t going to be enough though because of the amount of radiation found today in all sources of water. The number of plastic bottles strewn about and not recycled is catastrophic. Not all states have recycling plans for their plastic bottles today either which is another mistake. Here is what I found about plastic bottles decomposition times: “Different kinds of plastic can degrade at different times, but the average time for a plastic bottle to completely degrade is at least 450 years. It can even take some bottles 1000 years to biodegrade! That’s a long time for even the smallest bottle.Oct 31, 2011″

How Long Does It Take a Plastic Bottle to Biodegrade?

I truly believe that when the time comes if we do not have a sort of water filtration system in our homes to filter our water as it comes into where we live that we won’t be able to get them at a cost that is fair or reasonable. To get such a system today might be about $200 installed but it must have at least a four point filtration system built in. Just my opinion though and it would be a lot cheaper in the long run to filter your own water.

  3. These days, healthy water is so important to our health. It’s shocking to read about the news on contaminated water and I am glad that you pointed it out clearly. I agree that there should be more awareness about this issue as it threatens the health and well-being of masses. Thanks for sharing this eye-opening and well-researched article.

    • Hello and thank you for stopping by to give it read. As you can see, this contaminated water thing is a serious threat to our health. I wonder how serious people will take it when the filtration systems begin to run short in supply and the demand drives up the prices. Will we sit back and think that it’s a hoax like Russia did getting into our computer systems and got Trump voted in, instead of Hillary? That’s a real scary thought.

      Take care of yourself.

  4. As someone that has recently started trying to eat healthy again, I know how important it is to have the right liquids in your diet. This article is very helpful and full of great information. It is always great to see someone do their research and then pass it on to others. Keep up the great work!

    • Aiko; thanks for the kind words of encouragement. You just never know what might be helpful to some and then not helpful to others. But I figure that if it’s interesting and I know that if anything, a part of my story might at least give someone a chance to chuckle once in a while. I believe that when sharing anything personal, it is much more believable and interesting than just quoting from someone else’s work. Thanks for stopping by and leaving us your thoughts. Have a great weekend. I’d tell you to enjoy the snow but I keep forgetting that the people I’m talking to might be living in the sunbelt.

  5. Rene:

I have been following your site for a couple of months now
since my mother was diagnosed with type II diabetes and
I am really concerned for her.
I found your drinking water post to be pretty terrible; I mean not
your post but what the government is trying to pull over on us!
I just want you to know also, that I did buy some of your
“suggested” vitamins, like magnesium. I got the “CALM,
magnesium ” so she can mix it with water and drink it and not
    have to take another pill.
I also got her some diabetic lotion for her feet because they
are in terrible shape. You mentioned in the post that you may earn
a commission if I were to purchase something, from Amazon? So
I thought I’d let you know that you probably made some money! ChaChing! LOL

We (mom and me) will continue to follow you and you are always
    in our prayers too.
Take care, see you next time!

    • Hey Jennifer! Thanks so much for the comment and the support you’ve sent here to me. It means a whole bunch to get someone out there in the world that’s also following me in my world.
I hope your mom is doing okay and I know that once she gets in the diabetes groove of things, she will be remarkably doing better. Tell her to eat right (no sugar), get good sleep, and
when she does all of that, she will feel like moving and she can then get her groove back too. I wanna thank you whole-heartedly for everything; take care ` keep reading. Rene

  6. TIME Magazine* put Water on their cover Three Times … Water Quality or lack there of was AND still is That Important … “Water, water everywhere But Not a Drop to Drink.”- Anonymous

Please keep me posted on what Living-Simple-Health is all about, and the Business opportunity as well … I might add IT to my site soon.

    • Hello Phil and thanks for stopping by to check out my site. You probably already know this but I’m an IBO associate as well. Yeah, water water water is a scary thing and the only way to drink it is to purify it through a home water purification system, which is simple to do if you live with someone who has half a brain and can help install it. hmmm. The other thing that I wanted to mention is that I am networking now with Wor(l)d M&T who partnered with Toshiba to develop the Helo LX; you have probably already heard of it. The only reasons I’m signing up to network with the group is because in October they will be adding another great thing to the already great wearable tech and that is if diabetic, the Helo will be able to read blood glucose levels from the wrist. This will mean that not one diabetic person shall have to prick their fingers anymore for blood; it will be an outside of the body reading. The other things it will do is to read the blood level alcohol for those who like to drink; the Helo will warn them they are above the legal alcohol limit and they should not drive. Right now it monitors heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, it can set an EKG and send it to a physician. It can tell mood, mood changes, and it can monitor sleeping and sleep patterns. If I put one on my mother and program us together, I can check on my mother at any time of the day to make sure that everything with her is normal. If she gets into trouble she can push the panic button but if she’s not at home, there is a GPS attached the tells me her exact location. There are germanium stones attached to the band which sends oxygen to our cells, making it impossible for cancer to grow since cancer doesn’t grow well in cells that are permeated with oxygen. And the last thing that I’m excited about is that they have developed BioZen which is a sticker that can be purchased in multiple packs and the sticker is placed on all electrical devices in the home, office, car, motel, where ever I might be. The BioZen takes the low frequency EMF and takes them from being pointed, jagged, pieces of radiation and smooths them into single waves which makes the EMF much more tolerable for us. These are some of the things that I am so very excited about and I’m going to be adding the wellness aspect of the Helo to my website. Thanks for asking, sorry to talk your ear off. Looking forward to speaking with you again soon. I will be posting soon to my blog here. Take care! Rene

  7. I used to take my clean spring water for granted when I lived out in the country, after moving to town and having to drink treated water I then appreciated growing up drinking clean fresh spring water.

I often wonder what might those chemicals they are using in the water treatment plants do to our health in the future, water is so demanding for our bodies and as the years are going by the quality and safety of fresh clean water is vanishing

    • Hey Jeffrey: Thanks for taking the time to connect with us about our drinking water quality. Tap water today whether it is from a well on your property or from a city water holding, is unfit to drink because of the contamination from above. It is not necessarily the poisons or toxins that they use to make water drinkable for us, but it is the poisons and toxins being spewed into our oceans from catastrophes like the nuclear plant explosions we have been dealing with. “Following a major earthquake, a 15-metre tsunami disabled the power supply and cooling of three Fukushima Daiichi reactors, causing a nuclear accident on 11 March 2011. All three cores largely melted in the first three days.”

Every core melted down in 3 days, there was no way to contain it; the radiation is still spewing into the ocean which is the body of water that connects with other oceans all over the earth. The water from the ocean also evaporates into the air and is spread around the earth when it rains. The Pacific Ocean has been pronounced as largely “dead”.  When we purchase seafood today I can almost say for certain that a whole lot of it comes from the Pacific Ocean which is contaminated with Radiation.

I listened to an interview with a Japanese officer who was quoted as saying “I was overwhelmed by the amount of contaminated water coming from the reactors, we must dump it in the ocean.“.  This is just one particular poisonous thing happening with our drinking water, there are so many more. The only way to get clean drinking water into your home through the tap is through a water filtering system which has a triple reverse osmosis system as part of the filtering system itself. But there is so much more to it.

The thing that burns my butt about filtering water into the home is that we have all of these companies who are charging thousands of dollars installing filtering systems in homes and they are not effective when it comes to filtering radiation out of drinking water. How do I know this? I asked one of the companies and he was completely unaware of such a thing. Really?

Sorry, I got off on a tangent here but people don’t seem to realize what they are drinking out of their tap in the kitchen sink. Think the water coming through the filter in the refrigerator is any better? Think again. Same problem. I have links to acceptable water filtration systems in my blog. If you can’t find them, then let me know.

Thanks again for the comment today and sorry, I’m not attacking you but I want people to start getting an understanding of what is happening in our world today.

  8. Heidi. While I can always appreciate a bit of support and advice, it only needs to be sent one time. I will eventually see it and comment, if it has merit. Advertising your business on a site that has nothing to do with you, is considered spamming. Especially when you do it five separate times; using the same comment. I have gone to your website and looked it over and left you comments. I was in essence, looking for people that might have left you some testimonials, but saw none. I was also looking for your prices for bringing great targeted traffic to my Healthy Water posts, but saw none of those either. PLEASE no more spamming. If you want to communicate with me, try Facebook Messenger. I’m always there. Thank you.
