I was really surprised and pretty mad to hear that products we purchase today in the grocery stores, that say they are “gluten free” are at times, not always telling the truth. I am here to show you how to Gluten Guard your gut.
There are many products that we purchase that guarantee us there is no gluten in them. But the fact remains that there are hidden forms of gluten in many products that we still buy unknowingly. Check the list below to see if there is anything there that you might be eating and have never thought about gluten content.
It is possible that hidden gluten is found in one or two of the ingredients that are used to make that particular product. So it may be that the flour is gluten free, but there is gluten in an ingredient they used to make the bread. And they don’t care to share that information with us because without that ingredient, they couldn’t make that product.
Who would have thought that a salad dressing could contain gluten? And that the FDA doesn’t have any laws which require these companies to divulge that there are many products which still contain gluten but these products have “hidden gluten” in them.

What if any small amount of gluten set off a series of really bad reactions that could end with a person in the hospital? Like someone eating nuts that had an allergy to them? Or a medication they were allergic to? Would they care then? When we purchase something that says “gluten free”, we should be able to expect that is exactly what it means.

And I will stop right here because I could really go on for hours about this. Just think “natural” and “organic” and “safe” as opposed to “dangerous”, and “unnatural”.
If you really want to take a look at what we are doing to ourselves, get a sheet of paper and right down each and every medication that you are taking right now. Then go online and pull each medication up, read about it and in your own words make a list of the pros and cons of each of your meds. How much did it cost you? Make sure you write down the side effects. Just one of my meds has three pages of possible side effects. And even include such things as aspirin. You’ll see what I mean before you even finish.
However, there is one more huge problem besides “gluten” found right along side it, or even within the actual gluten. It’s called the “gliadin protein” and it’s right there with any gluten that we ingest. I mean you don’t get one without the other and both are bad news for your digestion.

- Salad dressings and marinades
- Soups, sauces and gravies
- Soy sauce and seasonings
