This first best protein mix for weight loss that I want to review is for BioTrusts’ “Time-Released Four-Protein Blend”
In highlighting the various “pros” and “cons”, (if there are any) about BioTtust powder protein mix, here is what BioTrust says about their carb free protein powder mix besides their own belief that “theirs is the best protein mix for weight loss”.
Cofounders, Joel and Josh both say that they were “protein shake drinkers before they became creators” and so they had a vague idea of what they wanted and did not want in the development of their protein powder mix products.
Their first goal in creating a protein powder, was that they were going to use a proprietary blend of proteins; which gave their product the five star quality they believed their customers deserved.
They had a fairly long list of what their protein powder must be comparable to but they also had a list of some things they had noticed about other powders they had tried developed by other manufacturers that would not fly with BioTrust.
- They both agreed that their products would have no artificial sweeteners, flavors or colors. There was going to be no sugar or processed carbs added.
- They would use no protein sourced from cows that had been treated with dangerous hormones. They were not going to use cheap protein that had been denatured because of high-heat processing.
- Their proteins had to be the best available; no matter the cost. The protein must have a faster absorption rate than others.
- Their proteins had to smell good and taste better than most. They noticed that some of the powdered proteins they had tasted from other labs or “mills”; but they were unsure of what caused the bad smell. It could be they were using proteins that had been denatured. They had to use the best protein mix for weight loss that could be found anywhere.
- There would be no devious attempts made to get around label regulations and there would be no hidden ingredients.
- BioTrust the company and all of their products must be totally transparent.
One of the best protein mix for weight loss powders is made by BioTrust; bar none! It took me a while to find this out too because I insisted on trying several before I settled. It is one of the best I have ever used. Taste is great. Not gritty, not lumpy. But it’s not me that has to be pleased.
The pleasing must be through your taste buds….
Strawberry-Banana, Vanilla, Chocolate, Mocha, and Peach-Mango(my fave)
BioTrust gives you a recipe book with over 50 different protein shake recipes and I even made up a few of my own. Add plain yogurt to any of them and they turn into a really smooth, almost cheesecake type of shake and you can eat it with a spoon.
So if you really want the best protein mix for weight loss, give BioTrust a try. The prices are all comparable except that BioTrust gives a price break after each additional jug that you order.
I hope that you found something interesting in this post. Please make sure to leave your comments here for us; we love talking to you.
other protein mixes you might like?
Dr. Joseph Mercola is an online holistic physician. He has many health products that can be purchased online. I am impressed with his many health products; all for a variety of reasons.
He has developed his own protein powders which are good; I have tried them all. I ordered one of each flavor just to see how they added up. I also ordered his Krill Oil and his Probiotics. All in all I was very happy with his products and will probably order more of the Probiotics.
His prices are a little on the “more” expensive side but I do believe that what you pay for, is what you get. He is a physician and has a great newsletter that comes weekly if you care to read it.
I give the Mercola Protein Powders #2 in the best protein mix for weight loss formulas. Dr. Mercola has three different mixes; Vegan, Power, and regular Protein.
The really nice thing about Dr. Mercola’s site and products is that I trust him. That is a really nice thing to be able to say about health products online.
Orgain Organic Grass Fed Whey Protein Powders are another group of protein products that I tried. They are a little cheaper. I found myself getting hungry just about an hour after I had finished a full drink. I also felt is was a little gritty; although they advertise “no grit”.
One of their products claim to be organic and contains “organic brown rice syrup, organic cane sugar, organic rice bran, sunflower oil”. That would be the vegan drink.
I have found that there are a few nutritional supplement sites and after investigating some of the products, found that they use “rice bran” as part of their ingredients. This one also uses sugar although I don’t know if they advertise weight loss with this one. And sugar is a “no-no” for diabetics.
Their “Orgain, Organic” powder contains “organic grass fed milk protein concentrate, and organic whey protein”. This would be the non-vegan variety.
The Orgain vitamin blend list in these protein powders/drinks are as follows: (dl-Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate, Sodium Ascorbate, Zinc Gluconate, Niacinamide, Calcium Pantothenate, Copper Gluconate, Vitamin A Palmitate, Thiamine Hydrochloride, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Riboflavin, Folic Acid, Biotin, Potassium Iodide, Cholecalciferol. Cyanocobalamin, Magnesium Sulfate), Sodium phosphate, Potassium Chloride, Tricalcium Phosphate, Tripotassium Citrate, Organic Locust Bean Gum, Sea Salt, Gellan Gum, Organic Inulin) I am assuming that these are all vitamins and that I have never heard of them? So I would have no idea what they are except for the sea salt.
I hope you got something from this post today. I did give you three separate protein powders to choose from. The best protein mix for weight loss was a rather hefty research project. Kind of expensive but well worth it.
And I sure do hope that if you have any suggestions, that you’ll let us know in the comment box below? Thanks.
